Nadsat, noise-rock duo from Bologna (Italy), joins Overdrive Records and will be the first band to be featured in the new sublabel Extreme Gestalt, dedicated to the heaviest and noisest sounds. “Torn Times”, their third full-length, will be out on April 7th and
will be anticipated by the single “Make My Day” (out March 10th).
Everything in “Torn Times” is instinctive and direct. The new addition of the voice seemed natural, as did the saturated and incredibly violent sound. The songs are short, very short, because sometimes it takes little to say everything. The 90s noise-rock influences are obvious. Compared to the previous work, in “Torn Times” has been made an extreme subtraction work following the logic -perhaps now overused and hackneyed – of ‘’less is more’’ which however always has its meaning. The same philosophy has been followed for the production of this record: an almost non-existent editing and an essential mix.

“Torn Times”: essenzialità ed evoluzione
I Nadsat, duo noise-rock della provincia bolognese, entrano in Overdrive Records ‘’battezzando’’ la nuova sublabel dedicata ai suoni più estremi del catalogo: Extreme Gestalt.“Torn Times”, il terzo full length della band, uscirà il prossimo 7 aprile, anticipato dal singolo “Make My Day”.
Tutto in “Torn Times” è istintivo, non calcolato e diretto. L’aggiunta della voce è sembrata naturale, così come il suono saturo e violento all’inverosimile. Le canzoni sono brevi, brevissime, perché a volte basta poco per dire tutto. Le influenze noise-rock anni Novanta sono palesi e, rispetto ai lavori precedenti, è stato fatto un lavoro di sottrazione
estremo, per quella logica forse ormai trita e ritrita del “less is more” che però ha sempre il suo senso. La stessa filosofia è stata seguita anche per la produzione del disco, con editing praticamente inesistente e un mix essenziale.
